Marian Nowinski
Born in 1944 in Brest on Bug. He graduated from the Public High School of Art Techniques in Nałęczów. Between 1964 and 1968 he was a student of the History of Art at the Catholic University of Lublin. From 1968 to 1974 he studied Graphics in the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw attending lectures of professors Henryk Tomaszewski and Stanisław Poznański. In 1974 Nowiński obtained a diploma in graphic design and painting. In 1982 and 1986 he held scholarships from the Italian government (study tours to Rome and Milan). Since 1975 Nowiński has been working in the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, since 1992 as a professor. Presently he is a professor of the Drawing and Design Workshop at the Chair of Basic Fine Arts. He is a member of the International Trademark Centre, Belgium. He created TJZ - the Theatre of One Sign. In 1988 he obtained the title 'individuality of the Year' from the Posters' Collectors Club. As an author of drawings, graphic designs and paintings presented at many individual exhibitions, Nowiński participated in various competitions as well as national and international exhibitions in Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, France, Spain, Israel, Canada, Columbia, Germany, USA and Hungary.
