Boguslaw Lustyk
He was born in 1940. Since 1994 he has been living and working in the USA. He was an acclaimed poster and graphic artist in Poland, but he is mainly known for his hippie themed works. In 1998, he officially became Kentacky Derby artist. Lustyk describes his art as follows: "I do not paint neither horses nor dance. I do paint a movement. I paint paintings, that include form, color and expression as the main rule", "All the paintings are vibrations". He graduated from Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts with a diploma under professor Jozef Mroszczak nd Jerzy Tchorzewski in 1965. Lustyk has been awarded with around 20 prizes for his posters during national and international competitions. He occupies himself with painting, graphic art, solid forms and ceramic sculpture. Boguslaw Lustyk plays with techniques and creates collages.
