Zygmunt Januszewski
Born on the 17th of February 1956 in Warsaw. Studied at the faculty of Graphics at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts (1976-1981). His diploma work was a set of illustrations for G. G. Marquez novel Hundred Years Of Solitude with prof. Janusz Stanny as his tutor. Since 1982 he exhibited his works in more than 100 exhibitions in Poland and abraod. In 1989 he was the first and the only Polish artist ever to present his drawings at the solo exhibition "Ein Narr zeigt Flagge" in Wilhelm-Busch-Museum in Hanover. He designed posters for the Bielefeld Opera, Shauspiel in Bonn, Theatre and University in St. Gallen. Professor on the Od 2000 profesor in Internationale Sommerakademie für Bildende Kunst in Salzburg. Since 2000. Since 2002 has teaches illustration at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Works as cartoonist, creates installations, also works as printmaker and writes poetry.
