Tadeusz Piechura

He was born in 1948. Died in 2013. Piechura was not a typical representative of Polisch School of Poster. His works were ascetic in form, raw, extremely minimalistic, but still able to express the main idea, title or value, that the receiver should read. Piechura admitted once, that in his art, there were no emotions - but form and intellect. He was also an extremist when it comes to use of colours - used mainly black and white, sometimes adding an intensive red colour. Typography was perceived as an important form of expression, however, there are not so many words in his work. Tadeusz Piechura was acclaimed mainly abroad - awarded with many prizes in Japan, Russia, Finland and the USA.
