Tomasz Ciecierski

Born on the 25th of September, 1945 in Cracow. Painter, author of many drawings, collages and photographs. He studied at Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Tomasz Ciecierski got his diploma in 1971 under Krystyna Lada-Strudnicka's protection. In the period between 1972-1985, he was a lecturer at Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Awarded with Jan Cybis award for his output. He is considered as one of the most influential Polish painters. His paintings were mostly figurative but in 80s, he gave up this style and started making landscapes, which were much more abstract.
