Jacek Gawlowski
He was born in 1957 in Warsaw. Graphic artist, illustrator and caricaturist. He studied at Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts under Teresa Pagawska and Henryk Tomaszewski's protection. He received his diploma in 1981. His work were published in many magazines such as: "Zwierciadlo", "Szpilki", "Tygodnik Literacki", "Przeglad Techniczny". However, he is mostly known for his illustrations for "Gazeta Wyborcza". Jacek Gawlowski is also interested in creating comic books, inspired by the aura of black criminals and also in book illustrations. Caricature makes up an important part of his work. He makes caricatures of famous people, politicians and so forth. With his art, he comments on present times. He was awarded with Eryk Lipinski and Henryk Grunwald's prizes. In 2006, he published an album "Gawlowski" with his drawing and other works.
