Alfred Lenica

Lived in the years1899 - 1977. In the beginning of his artistic career he preoccupied himself with music to turn to painting in (circa) 1928. He is fascinated by impressionism, cubism, and expressionism. After 1956 started painting abstract compositions which were similar in style to surrealist works. Independently of the specific period when he was creating, his works are characterized by fluidity and movement, an unique usage of colours and light.
